As promised, photos from this weekend’s film shoot on D One’s rap music video. Since there are so many awesome photos, I’m gonna post them scene by scene. Might as well start with the sexiest one! For the first time in a long time, I woke up early on a Saturday (shocking, right?). A couple of nights ago, a close friend of mine, Kevin, (you may remember him as director of such films as Malediction and Sitting) asked me to be the still photographer on his latest film endevor, a rap music video for a local artist, D1. I took over 300 photos today on one of Ravi’s (amazing person) amazing digital cameras. Hopefully, I will have a copy of those to blog next. My tiny Fugi Film FinePix camera is great for blogging but pales in comparison to Ravi’s baby (not to mention all his lenses are interchangable with the HD cameras we were using). Sure, maybe the video is a little cliche: girl and guy in bed, pimped out Tahoes, graffiti, smoking, drinking, and just kickin’ it in the back of a liquor store with 15 of your best friends, but I still say this is definitely one of the cooler short film projects I’ve helped out on. With Kevin directing and editing, you can bet the video will be tight.
