2nd Annual Catch-All Film Festival

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

It’s that time of the year again. Kevin and I are hosting our second annual Catch-All Film Festival. So, if you’re a filmmaker, please visit www.catchallfestival.com and submit your short film (sorry about the pathetic website design). The festival will be held again at the intimate Pollack Tempe Cinemas on November 4th, 2007. Tickets are a mere 5 bucks at the door so I urge you all to go. And, because I can, our new film Extraordinaro on his Girlfriend’s Birthday will be premiering at the event. Come check it out and send me your films!!

One Nurse Screwing Another

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Alright. Before I explain this photo, let me explain why I hate blogger. I’ve actually spent the last week trying to get WordPress to work how I want it to…. but, for one reason or another, it just won’t import my old blog entries from blogger. And yeah, I’ve spent hours of research in the forums and going through the php code manually trying to fix the problem but to no avail. So, for now, I give up.

Mainly I hate blogger for two reasons: 1) I can only upload photos five (used to only be two… grr!) at a time through blogger’s website; and 2), the window where I type all this stuff isn’t expandable. So, on my 22″ screen, it’s tiny and just plain irritating especially when I’m trying to rearrange the order of photos!I’ve also just bought Adobe Contribute as part of the CS3 Master Collection which should make the whole blogging experience much easier. But I will need some more time some weekend to figure that one out, too. This blogging stuff gives me a headache.

Okay. If you actually read that and didn’t just skip ahead to more pictures of scandalous nurses like I would have done… good for you. Last Sunday, I helped my film buddy Kevin on his latest music video, a video for the goth rock band, Audra. We’re doing their song, Cabaret Fortune Teller, and I’ll be editing it for him (yay!). And, as you may have guessed from the photos, it’s dark and pretty creepy. In fact, the lead actor, Vince, basically gets a lobotomy via an eel through his ear to his brain. But if I had those nurses around me, I’d do some weird things, too.

Work

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

It seems ironic that I would call in sick to work today just to go buy The Office: Season Three and engrave Turkey in the Straw at home all afternoon. I think that really says something about what I’d like to be spending my days doing. The Office, by the way, is probably the single most greatest comedy series on television. The British version that started it all is possibly even more brilliant and moving. So yeah, that was my day… I’m on disk 3 of 4 and I probably won’t go to bed till it’s over though I’ll probably save the special features for another night.
