Oh. My. God.

From time to time, I’ll stumble across a news article or something where a band somewhere is playing Shadow Rituals. Tonight, I stumbled across “The Story Behind Shadow Rituals” found on YouTube. I have no idea who these kids are or what band they’re from, but somehow they have managed to dramatize the entire 4 minute piece in one extended take filmed in their band room.

Only band kids. Seriously. Well… maybe choir kids, too.

Im the kid standing on the chair somewhere in that video.
Our Band Director Told us How he used to imagine a story to the music he was learning. To help imagine what it should sound like. (Sort of like getting a feel for the music) And So, being middle Schoolers Instead of imagining it our Tuba Player Decided to act it out. Hah.
