Instinctive Travels Mock Up

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

Here it is; the culmination of my summer. The piece clocks in just under 7 minutes, kicks at quarter note = 176 (the entire time), and is 386 measures long bringing the score to a solid 56 pages of unadulterated, tabloid-sized music. The only time signature changes are mixed between 4/4, 3/4, and 2/4 with a metric modulation at the end bringing the band to a broad 3/2. I think there are only a handful of minor things I need to clean up in the orchestration/percussion, but other than that, I begin finalizing the score tonight (after stupid homework stupid stupid).

What do you think? I’m excited.

Instinctive Travels

I’ve been known to change titles to pieces several times, but finally, after a few weeks of rejecting title after title in my sleep, I think I’ve finally decided on one for my new piece for Arrowhead Union High School. Thank you Tribe.

Mock-ups to follow.
